Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano
San Juan Capistrano, California
Saturday, 7 March 2015 - 2:00 PM
Experience an afternoon of emotionally impactful American music as de Angelis presents 20th century interpretations of the secular and sacred songs that pervade the early eras of our history. We will perform deeply evocative, comforting music you have known all of your life, the structures and rhythms and rich harmonies of which have lasted for over a century and that infuse many of our current musical forms. Spirituals and folk songs were and are the songs sung during the rituals of everyday life and we invite you to participate in this afternoon celebrating our shared national heritage.
